Join us on our journey: To drive a smart and sustainable energy future, we are looking for a proactive and experienced (Senior) Technical Project Manager based in Italy. In this role, you will work on the technical onboarding and integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) into our trading platform — ensuring seamless connectivity, regulatory compliance, and optimal asset performance.

  • Location: Milan, Italy

  • Employment Type: Full-Time, indefinite term

  • Working Mode: Office first set-up

  • Language Requirement: C1 proficiency in Italian and German
Your Responsibilities
As a (Senior) Technical Project Manager, you will:
  • Own the full technical onboarding process for BESS assets, from initial planning to go-live.
  • Drive and coordinate end-to-end integrations, ensuring that every new asset in Italy is seamlessly connected to Entrix’s trading and control platform.
  • Define, design, and implement communication flows between BESS controllers, EMS, SCADA and Entrix systems.
  • Ensure technical compliance with grid regulations and market participation rules in Italy, coordinating closely with regulatory bodies and the grid operators.
  • Support our customers and our own required registrations, pre-qualifications, certifications, licenses, acceptance tests necessary for the assets' participation in envisioned energy markets both on the trade as well as on the technical delivery side.
  • Collaborate directly with cross-functional teams, from software engineers to data scientists, to optimize data flows, telemetry, and real-time trading execution.
  • Translate complex project requirements into clear implementation plans, aligning timelines with our Business and Product teams.
Your Profile
We’re looking for someone who is deeply proactive and accountable - someone who doesn’t just identify problems but owns them and is energized by bringing clarity and progress to complexity.

Mandatory Requirements
  • A degree or equivalent in Engineering, Energy Systems, Automation or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management, energy systems, or BESS/RES integration.
  • Strong understanding of Italian grid regulations, market structures, and the technical requirements for market participation.
  • Proven experience with API integrations and real-time asset control systems.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with customers, EPCs, TSOs, DSOs and internal teams.
  • Proactive, creative and solution oriented with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to bring clarity to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with high ownership.
  • Fluent in Italian, with full business proficiency in English.

Skills to Set You Apart
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data flow optimization and system interoperability in energy markets.

This role may not be a fit for you if…
  • You prefer roles with limited customer and cross-team interactions.
  • You are not comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory and technical landscape.

We are committed to diversity - of all backgrounds and experiences. You don’t need 100% of the preferred qualifications to add incredible value to our team. If you’re passionate about what you could accomplish here, we’d love to hear from you.
A Short Note from Your Future Lead

Michele Pissarello - Head of Country Italy - Linkedin

Hello future colleague,

My name is Michele, and I am the Country Manager for Italy at Entrix. I’m excited to build and grow our Italian team and look forward to receiving your application.

I bring over 15 years of global experience in the energy storage sector, having worked across a range of roles—from technical support and project execution to business development and sales—with companies like Enel, Tesla, and Toshiba. Most recently, I led the Business Development team at Enel, where we developed and executed over 1 GW of storage assets worldwide, both front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter.

At Entrix, we’re building something ambitious—a smart, tech-driven platform designed to unlock the full value of battery storage in energy markets. While the Italian market has traditionally been dominated by utilities, upcoming regulatory improvements and support schemes are opening the door for new players. Our mission at Entrix is to help these players realize the full value of battery storage through reliable, bankable solutions.

To achieve this, we need proactive, resourceful individuals who can navigate complexity and translate it into simple, effective solutions for our customers. We’re looking for creative thinkers who take initiative, embrace ownership, and strive to reach ambitious goals.

If you're passionate about transforming ideas into tangible results, tackling real-world challenges, and thriving in a collaborative team, you'll enjoy working with us.

Looking forward to what we’ll create together.

Best regards,
Michele
